Sofia Ferreira Enriquez joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2020 and became a Partner in 2021. She coordinates the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Area and also the Insurance and the Transportation Law Departments.

With more than 20 years of experience, she has been developing her practice in the sectors of Insurance, Maritime Law and Transportation, Contracts, International Trade, Regulation, representing leading companies in the national and international markets.

She representes several entities in both new projects, contracts, and negotiation, as well as in lawsuits, misdemeanour litigation, and arbitration, or in regulatory matters.

In this area, she has contributed with proposals for legislative procedures organized by the World Bank.

Sofia has a master’s degree in Legal Sciences – Maritime Law from the Lisbon University Law School, where she taught different matters for nine years and where she still teaches, occasionally, in Post-Graduation Courses.
