Rui Teixeira Motta joined Eversheds Sutherland in 2004 as Of Counsel.

Degree in Law in 1976 and with two Post-Graduation Courses in European Law (Lisbon University Law School) and in Forensic Practices and Companies Advisory (Portuguese Catholic University), Rui also attended the Courses in Companies General Management Studies at the Management High Institute and in European Law and Integration Law Studies at the Lisbon University Law School.

Rui is a member of the Permanent Committee of the Conselho de Opinião da Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, SGPS, also being an adviser at the Portuguese Parliament in the Committee on the Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees (with the direct support to the Sub-Committee on Fundamental Rights and Media) and the Committee on Ethics.

He coordinated the book "Televisão em Portugal - que Presente, que Futuro" and he is a columnist at the Jornal de Negócios newspaper.
