Introduction

Nuno de Mendia joined Eversheds Sutherland FCB in 2006 as a Trainee Lawyer, becoming an Associate Lawyer in 2009. He works in the Real Estate, Property and Construction, also developing his work in the Corporate, Commercial and M&A Department.


Over the last years, Nuno has been responsible for advising companies in real estate investment projects and respective transactions (asset deals and share deals), namely in real estate issues related to shopping centres, retail parks and industrial complexes. Additionally, he regularly gives assistance in matters related to Urban Lease law, Rural Lease law, Corporate and Commercial Law, providing legal advice for the incorporation of commercial companies as well as legally assisting the ongoing works of companies operating in Portugal and participating in commercial transactions, from the due diligence to the drafting and closing the agreements.


In 2011, Nuno was named by Eversheds Sutherland FCB as the Young Lawyer Liaison for Meritas, a global alliance of independent, full-service law firms, and in 2018 he became a member of the Meritas Young Lawyer Advisory Board.


In 2012, he was seconded to the Legal Department of Grupo Portucel Soporcel (presently known as The Navigator Company) and, in 2013, to the Banco Espírito Santo (presently known as Novo Banco).
