The Decree-Law no. 109-A/2020, which establishes the amount of the national minimum wage for 2021, was published in the Official Journal on 31 December 2020. 

Therefore, from 1 January 2021, the amount of the national minimum wage is increased to EUR 665.00 (six hundred and sixty-five euros). This update has repercussions on several employment related matters, inter alia, the definition of the maximum thresholds applicable to the statutory compensations payable to employees in the event of termination of employment agreements through collective or individual redundancy procedures.
