FCB Advogados is pleased to announce the hiring of two new coordinating associates, thus reinforcing its team at the Lisbon office.

Sara M. Rodrigues assumes the coordination of the Competition and EU Law Department. Before joining FCB, she was a senior lawyer in the Restrictive Practices Department at the Portuguese Competition Authority, where she worked for twelve years. She has an extensive experience in coordinating and carrying out search and seizure procedures, investigating misdemeanour cases (abuses, cartels, among others) and compliance. Prior, she has worked in law firms, with special focus on Misdemeanour Litigation, Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. She is also an Assistant Lecturer in the areas of Economic Law, International Economy and Economy II at the Lisbon University Law School, where she took her master’s degree and where she is a doctorate candidate.

Sofia Ferreira Enriquez reinforces the Civil Law and Dispute Resolution areas. With 20 years of experience, she has developed her practice in the sectors of Insurance, Maritime Law and Transportation, Contracts, International Trade, Regulation, Compliance and Life Sciences, representing leading companies in the national and international markets. She has represented several entities in both new projects, contracts and negotiation, as well as in lawsuits, misdemeanour litigation and arbitration or in regulatory matters. She has contributed with proposals for legislative procedures organized by the World Bank and she was a teacher in several workshops. Sofia has a master’s degree in Legal Sciences – Maritime Law by the Lisbon University Law School, where she taught different matters for nine years and where she still teaches, occasionally, in Post-Graduation Courses.
